Lecture — “Isaiah Boodhoo and Wendy Nanan: Caribbean Masters”

[Many thanks to Andil Gosine for bringing this item to our attention.] The Clark Art Institute presents “Isaiah Boodhoo and Wendy Nanan: Caribbean Masters” on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 5:30pm. A 5:00pm reception in the Manton Research Center reading room precedes the event.

Description (The Clark): Two leading Caribbean scholars, Patricia Mohammed and Marsha Pearce, introduce two of the region’s pioneering painters, Isaiah Boodhoo and Wendy Nanan, both of whom are descendants of indentured workers who were brought to Trinidad from India in the nineteenth century.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required. The Clark is located at 225 South Street, in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
