New Album: Dubkore’s Arrogant Man

The Caribbean Daily reports on recording artist Dubkore’s release of his debut album in June, Arrogant Man.

The reggae singer, born Collin Llewellyn, says that he is pleased with the progress he has made musically and that he has been in a positive frame of mind since the release of Arrogant Man, which was produced by his Pikkihead Records production team. The artists explains, “It is my first and I am very pleased with how it came out, this album will give people a true picture of what I am about musically. I’m very proud of the work and it’s a good representation of Dubkore.”

He also recently released a music video for the single “Same Routine,” which features upcoming female singer Empress Que. “Same Routine,” directed by well-known video director Asha Mchail, comments on the societal ills that continue to plague Jamaica.

The article states that the “soft-spoken Rastafarian said he’s now fully focused on making himself more marketable as he seeks to increase his stage show appearances on local soil.” Dubkore states, “Well, right now we a try get some more shows done locally. I performed in Los Angeles on Jamaica Independence day, in the famous Dub Club. Right after that I came to Jamaica and started working in my rehearsal studio with my band in preparation for several upcoming shows.”
