The Jamaica Observer reports that Louie Culture, Hezron, Ras Kaneo and Jahnya are a few of the reggae acts featured on Blue Mahoe, the latest project—reggae compilation—out of Trench Town-based Triple L Productions.
According to Orville Stoddart, CEO of Triple L, the One Drop rhythm compilation also features emerging act Kafinal with I Don’t Wanna Wait, Influential’s Please Me and Devon George’s contribution, Love Her.
“The rhythm is very lively and has that joyful reggae vibes that will keep the listeners in a vibrant mood. A lot of time and effort was placed into each track and this is evident once you listen to the songs. The harmonies are soothing and all the acts are talented,” he said.
The producer/engineer further stated that since its release three weeks ago, songs from the project have been getting steady rotation. “I do believe all 14 songs are hits. It is a good reggae CD that persons can enjoy on any given day. It is sure to get the listeners’ heart pumping. I have high hopes that it will continue to rise and reach the four corners of the earth,” he said.
Distribution for the 14-song rhythm compilation is being handled by the Germany-based Urban Music Distribution.
Stoddart was born in Kingston but has lived in the United States since the early 1990s. His productions include Jah Cure’s hit song, Other Half of Me, One Day by Hezron and Michael Sterling, and a compilation album, 12 Disciples of Trench Town.
