The 7th edition of the Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince [Festival de Jazz de Port-au-Prince] will take place from January 19 to 26, 2013. On January 18, the eve of the Festival opening, the city of Jacmel will host a concert with Timo Vollbrecht (Germany), Hugues Leroy (Haiti), and Branford Marsalis (United States).

The festival will feature 24 bands representing 13 countries, who will take part this year in a series of related activities—including workshops, films, and lectures—organized around jazz. Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, and of course, host country Haiti will be represented in this year’s International jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince.
