“Painted in Trinidad” by Carlos de Castro

The National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago is hosting an exhibit featuring the work of Carlos de Castro, Head of Administration at the Spanish Embassy in Port of Spain. The Exhibition which was launched on October 20, runs until Saturday, November 1, 2009.
Carlos de Castro has a lengthy artistic career and has successfully exhibited in various European and Caribbean countries. In this show he has included the work inspired by his stay in Trinidad and Tobago, where he has been posted since November 2006. The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs through the National Museum and Art Gallery has expressed its appreciation for the warmth with which De Castro has embraced and appreciated the culture of Trinidad and Tobago. The exhibit includes 20 oil paintings that aim to capture the unique, exuberant and colourful culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
