Hosted by Viannca Vélez, the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) presents “AFRIBEMBÉ: Under One Sun,” a family-friendly celebration on Sunday, August 16, 2026, for Harlem Week’s ‘Harlem Day.’ The series of events (see schedule below) will take place on West 135th Street and 5th Avenue. Events include a procession led by Los Pleneros de la 21 and Danza Fiesta.

CCCADIexplains, “Under One Sun: a phrase that’s followed CCCADI for decades, a reminder that the Diaspora is one people across oceans. This year, it’s louder than ever.”
