Screening and Seminar: “Fly Me to the Moon” / Esther Figueroa

As part of The Stuart Hall Archive Project, led by Patricia Noxolo and Rita Gayle at the University of Birmingham, the Conjunctures Team is hosting three events that consider the environment and its effects upon communities locally and globally. To introduce these conversations, the Conjunctures Team welcomes Jamaica filmmaker, writer, and educator Dr. Esther Figueroa, who will discuss the themes of her award-winning feature documentary, Fly Me to the Moon (2019). Figueroa will introduce a special screening of the film to conclude the series. This series takes place from Thursday, November 30, to Friday, December 1, 2023, in Birmingham, UK.
