“Poli Marichal: Impresiones sobre la marcha” [Poli Marichal: Impressions on the go] will be on view at “reunion,” an art space directed by Norma Vila Rivero and Pablo Santiago Romera. The opening will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00pm. “reunion” is located at #1608 Calle Bori (La Electrónica Building) in Cupey, Puerto Rico.

Artist and filmmaker Poli Marichal says, “These works are based on impressions that are achieved by pressing papers of various thicknesses and other materials on supports made of wood, linoleum, and plexiglass that have been previously inked. Several of them were achieved by reworking and altering the image until the original print is obscured [or submerged]. In this exhibition I also include some animated shorts that illustrate how I give another life to my visual works.”
