Exhibition by Surinamese artist Kit-Ling Tjon Pian Gi at SCS Conference in UK

Surinamese artist Kit-Ling Tjon Pian Gi is the recipient of the 2013 Bridget Jones Award of the UK-based Society for Caribbean Studies (SCS). She will be presenting an exhibition consisting of poems and paintings at the 37th Annual SCS Conference, to be held in Warwick, England, July 3-5, 2013. In May 2012 Tjon Pian Gi was the featured visual artist of the 13th International Conference of the Association of Caribbean Women Writers and Scholars (ACWWS) held in Suriname. In her exhibition called ‘Short Stories’ she displayed her fascination for the interplay between visual art and the art of words.
