The Plastic Arts Program of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture [Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña] invites artists (who have been residents of the island for the past 5 years) to submit their work for the selection process for a national exhibition of visual arts [Muestra Nacional de Artes Plásticas]. Works will be evaluated and selected by the Curatorial Committee of the Institute. This collective show aims to represent main tendencies of contemporary art on the island.

This convocation calls for works in the following categories: drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, prints, installations, video, and performance. Artists may submit up to 3 works; these must be current, produced within 2008 and 2009.

The deadline for submission is July 31, 2009, at 4:00pm.
