SVG PM awarded Chieftaincy Title in Nigeria

Loop reports that, in Nigeria last week, the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Ralph Gonsalves received a chieftaincy title, Omowale of Ota. He was also awarded an honorary degree from the Bells University of Technology OTA Ogun State, where Gonsalves delivered the Convocation Lecture. 

St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has been given a Chieftaincy Title in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Gonsalves received the title of Omowale of Ota, which means “Our son has come back home”, on Saturday from King Adeyemi Abdulkabir of Ota at Olota Palace after they held a meeting an prayer service.

St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Agency For Public Information (API) reported King Adeyemi announced plans to visit St Vincent and the Grenadines next year.

“The Prime Minister was gracious in his acceptance and expressed delight in King Abdulkabir’s intended visit to SVG,” API reported.
