Female deejay Pamputtae leaves Jamaica on Sunday for a show in the sister Caribbean island of Tobago, says the Jamaica Observer, but before she leaves, she is hosting her annual birthday event tonight (June 19, 2015) at the Fletcher’s Land Community Centre in Kingston. The party bash’s theme is “Talk up T-shirt and Sneakers” and will feature Energy Sound and surprise performances by fellow artists.
The Jamaica Observer says: “This is not her first time performing in the smaller country of the twin-island republic. In fact, she describes Trinidad and Tobago as her home away from home. ‘They can’t get enough of me in Trinidad and Tobago. They love me over there. I think it’s because I really perform for them and give them a show. That’s the home of soca and carnival, so I have to come really good when I go there, so they love me and keep inviting me back. This week when I go, it’s for a dancehall queen show that I will be hosting and perfoming on.’”
