New Film: Katherine Beneby II’s “Sudden Onset”

The short film Sudden Onset will premiere Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Harry C. Moore Library auditorium at the College of The Bahamas. Written and directed by Bahamian filmmaker Katherine Beneby II, the film deals with multiple sclerosis and its ravages. The guest presenter will be Dr. Charles Rahming and the host for the evening is Mr. Jerome Sawyer. An educational forum will follow the screening.

Description: After her brother David Beneby Jr. was diagnosed almost 15 years ago, writer and director Beneby became impassioned with a desire to educate and inform Bahamians on Multiple Sclerosis which is a disease that influences the central nervous system and affects 2.5 million people worldwide.
