After shutting down the internet with her surprise appearance during Versace‘s Spring/Summer 2020 show, Jennifer Lopez has rejoined the Italian fashion house to showcase its slinky Spring/Summer 2020 wares in its newest campaign. Accompanied by a Matrix-like world of technology, the campaign is rich with statement suits, shirts and accessories.
Lopez takes center stage, appropriately, playing on the campaign’s themes of self-love with a series of bold shots that see the the Hustlers actress making the most of Versace’s graphic-heavy goods. Lopez and Kendall Jenner showcase a variety of strappy shoes, dramatic necklines and minimalist bags in line with Versace’s opulent codes. Menswear offerings are far less revealing, opting for patterned silk shirts, hybrid denim jackets and suits patterned with automobiles to provide a playful touch.
“In terms of my career, the Jungle dress really marked a moment in time. To me, Versace represents empowerment and putting something beautiful out into the world,” said Lopez. “It’s a dream to collaborate with my friend Donatella again on this gorgeous campaign and to create something new and fresh out of a piece of iconic fashion history.” Donatella Versace was similarly excited about the opportunity to rejoin J.Lo: “I am so proud Google Images was invented after Jennifer wore that dress. Today, we celebrate that moment that was possible thanks to this incredible woman!”
