Puerto Rican Voices Season 4: “Rebuild Puerto Rico”


The Center for Puerto Rican Studies’ Puerto Rican Voices Season 4—“Rebuild Puerto Rico” will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 6:00pm, at Glass Cafe 3rd Floor, West Building, Hunter College (located at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, New York, New York). [Please keep in mind that in order to enter the building you first need to register as “Visitor” at the West Building Lobby.]

Description: Season four of Centro’s Puerto Rican Voices TV show, Rebuild Puerto Rico, highlights the role of the Puerto Rican diaspora in the reconstruction of the Island. Images of the devastation caused by hurricanes Irma and Maria activated humanitarian responses by stateside civic leaders and organizations.  Many of those same entities have partnered with organizations in Puerto Rico on long-term rebuilding initiatives. Join in a conversation with leaders from four organizations spotlighted in Rebuild Puerto Rico episodes, as they discuss their work, challenges, and commitment to playing a role in building a stronger Puerto Rico.
