Exhibition—“Haitian Art: Caribbean Inspiration”

[Many thanks to Peter Jordens for bringing this item to our attention.] “Haitian Art: Caribbean Inspiration” opened at the Bellefonte Art Museum (BAM) for Centre County on October 28 and will be on view until November 24, 2019. The exhibition may be viewed at the Special Exhibition Gallery of the BAM (located at 133 North Allegheny Street, Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.)

Here is a short description from the Bellefonte Art Museum:

“In Haiti, art speaks of resilience where a convergence of cultures, unforgiving climate and weather patterns, geologic occurrences, and a history of political unrest have contributed to the spirited and vibrant art of the country. The museum’s exhibition includes various types of art popular to Haiti including paintings, art flags and metal sculpture.”
