New species of hummingbird spotted in Trinidad

Nazma Muller has just shared some great news from Trinidad and Tobago! A new species of hummingbird has been spotted in Trinidad for the first time. The Glittering-throated Emerald—Amazilia fimbriata—was sighted by Theodore U. Ferguson on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Yerette, Home of the Hummingbird, Maracas Valley, St. Joseph. We will share more news as soon as it is available.
