Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Kevin Quiles Bonilla in The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. The exhibition opens December 5 and runs through December 15, 2018 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.
About the Artist
Digital artist Kevin Quiles Bonilla reacts instinctively to public spaces using video and photography. In Lead (Chelsea Piers), the artist crouches and licks a series of brightly colored outdoor sculptures. In Position no. 01(Interventions on Three Benches), the artist lies limp on top of a large statue as if he’s been impaled.
From the walls we encounter to the paths we take and the bridges we cross, Bonilla uses his work to illustrate how public spaces can shape and define individual behavior.
