A group of contemporary writers will meet at El Crucerito (La Puerta del Alto del Cabro) for a poetry reading for the Santurce community. The event—which will include “verses, music, and other surprises,” all free and open to the general public—takes place tomorrow, Friday, on August 3 2018, at 7:30pm. El Crucerito is located at Mariana Street, in the Alto del Cabro community, Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
This activity, organized by poet, narrator and essayist Alexandra Pagán, is part of the special events of “El MAC en el barrio: de Santurce a Río Piedras”—an initiative focusing on art and community bonding developed by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico [Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico (MACPR)]. The MAC has hosted these events since 2014 in different communities of San Juan.
