Just to keep some of us dreaming, Newsweek shared “The 50 Best Beaches in the World, according to Travel Experts.” To create the list, FlightNetwork consulted over 600 experts to rank the very best of the world’s beaches according to their “untouched beauty, remoteness, water quality, sunshine and temperature.” As the article says, “Drift away with us as we count down the world’s top 50 dreamiest beaches.”
Of the 50 dreamiest beaches, sixteen are in the Caribbean. Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos, was voted the best beach in the world (with a colorful barrier reef, crystal clear seaweed-free water and pure sand). The others include Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas; Pig Beach, Bahamas; Playa Paraíso, Mexico; Hidden Beach, Mexico; Trunk Bay, US Virgin Islands [shown above]; Saltwhistle Bay, St. Vincent & Grenadines; Half Moon Bay, Antigua; Flamenco Beach, Puerto Rico; Cayo Coco, Cuba; Seven Mile Beach, Cayman Islands; Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda; Los Roques, Venezuela; Grand Anse, Grenada; Shoal Bay, Anguilla; and Eagle Beach, Aruba.
