The French Academy’s literary prizes

academie5

As it does every last year in June, the French Academy (L’Académie française) awarded its literary prizes; this time, there were 66 winners. From Kamel Daoud to Hélène Cixous and Marie Sizun, the list includes winners hailing from or dedicated to work from the Caribbean: Haitian author Gary Victor and Thomas C. Spear (CUNY), founder of Ile en île. Our warmest congratulations.
