The RSHHGG Lab is live!
The site is an interactive online index of nearly 100 years of the Revue de la Société Haïtienne d’Histoire, de Géographie et de Géologie.
Founded in 1923, the Société Haïtienne d’Histoire, de Géographie et de Géologie is Haiti’s oldest intellectual society and is still active today. In 1925 the society established an official journal, first called the Bulletin and then the Revue, which is still published today. Over the last 90 years, Haitian scholars and intellectuals have published more than 1,100 articles in the pages of the Revue, making the publication the greatest repository of historical research produced on Haiti, from Haiti. This includes critical work from historians such as Ernst Trouillot, Hénock Trouillot, and Roger Gaillard, as well as foreign historians working on Haiti such as Gabriel Debien, Jacques Cauna, David Geggus and Carolyn Fick, among others.
