This is the last event of the semester hosted by New York University’s Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS). “Visionary Aponte: Art and Black Freedom”—this evening (Monday, May 14, 2018) at 6:00pm, there will be an Artists Talk with Leonardo Benzant, Roberto Diago, Nina Mercer, and Renée Stout. At 7:00pm, a live musical tribute and performance with Jadele McPherson, Yunior Terry and Yesenia Fernández, and others. Reception to follow. This event will take place at the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center (NYU KJCC) located at 53 Washington Square South, New York.
