Maggie Harris in “Spring on the Horizon”

[Many thanks to Peter Jordens for bringing this item to our attention.] Poet, prose writer and memoirist Maggie Harris will be reading from her work during “Spring on the Horizon” [Gwanwyn ar Y Gorwel] an evening of poetry and live music. This event will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 7:30pm, at Neuadd y Dderwen (The Oak Hall), Rhosygilwen, Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

mag_1779Maggie Harris, who comes originally from Guyana, has won The Guyana Prize for Literature, the TS Eliot Poetry Student Prize at Kent University, and was the Caribbean winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. Also performing will be poets Paul Steffan Jones, Kittie Belltree and Ron Geaves as well as cellist Daniel Davies.
