As many of our readers wake up for their Christmas celebrations, we wanted to send our warmest greetings. We are very thankful for your continued support of Repeating Islands and particularly thankful to our contributor and friend, Peter Jordens, and our research assistant of the last two years, Michael Walsh.
It has been a difficult year for a Caribbean region battered by hurricanes and our hearts are with all those family members, friends and neighbors who are struggling to recover.
A few days ago, Peter sent us a Christmas greeting that in its heartfelt and deep simplicity encapsulated what we wish all of you. So Ivette and I send forward to all of you Peter’s hopes for the season and the new year . . .
“Wishing you and your loved ones blessed and peaceful holidays and a splendid new year.
May it be a year of (re)fortification after all we lost in 2017.”
