Lissette Solárzano wins award at 2017 Florence Biennial

In Italy, photographer Lissette Solárzano won the “Premio Lorenzo il Magnifico” award for photography at the 2017 Florence Biennial. According to Cuban Art News, Solárzano won for two works in her 2005 Malecón series: “Hombre al agua” and “El santero.”

The 11th Florence Biennial awards the prize in 12 visual arts categories. More than 1,300 works in exhibition, made by 462 artists from 70 countries, were admired, discussed, commented by all visitors who have accepted the invitation of the organization.
