AP reports that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is planning to publish write three books for young readers.
According to Penguin Young Readers, the magistrate will adapt her memoir My Beloved World for a young audience. She will also collaborate with illustrator Lulu Delacre in a text called Turning Pages about the books that were most important to her. She will also work with illustrator Rafael López on a book about “differences” during childhood.
The two autobiographical books will be available at the end of next year, while the book on differences in childhood will come out in 2019.
Sotomayor, appointed by President Barack Obama in 2009, said in a statement published by Penguin Young Readers that her book seeks to demonstrate that “happy endings are possible” even in troubled families.
