The Latin American Composers Hall of Fame (LSHOF) reported that Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Wisin received the Triunfador award at the fifth edition of the “La Musa Awards,” held in Miami, at the James L. Knight Center auditorium on October 19, 2017.
Each year, the Hall of Fame awards the Premio Triunfador [Triumphant Award], which recognizes young musicians for their contribution to the development of Latin music as composers, authors, producers and artists, a prize that was given previously to singers Miguel (2014), Fonseca (2015) ) and Yandel (2016).
Earlier this month, the Puerto Rican singer, along with former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, delivered $20,000 worth of musical instruments to students at a Miami high school, to whom they said that only those who are humble and team players may truly succeed.
In this fifth edition of the La Musa awards, Panamanian Erika Ender, the Spaniard Camilo Sesto, Mexican Martín Urieta, Argentine Roberto Livi, Mexican Ana Gabriel, and Colombian Carlos Vives, will also entered the Hall of Fame. The latter also received the Ícono Award.
