In Jamaica, Lukie D is excited about his upcoming album which is scheduled for release in early 2018. The album, produced by his Barblings label, will be his first collection of new music since 2006’s Deliver Me.

“This will be my first album of new material in a very long time and I can’t wait to share it with the fans. There’s a lot in store and when it’s finished, everyone will be pleased,” Lukie D told Jamaica Observer following his show-stopping performance at the re-opening of the Hi-Lo Portmore Pines supermarket in St Catherine recently.

According to the singer, the yet-to-be-titled album will comprise some 15 tracks and will feature production works from Truck Back Records and Young Blood Records. Meant to Be, Granted and Change are among his latest songs.

Lukie D came to prominence in the mid-1990s with songs including Centre of Attraction, Back Up, Roll Out, Save the Best for Last, and Don’t Deny Me (featuring Stitchie).

He has been a member of the quartet LUST since 1997. The other members of the group are Thriller U, Singing Melody, and Tony Curtis.
