ICAIC announces death of Cuban filmmaker Miguel Torres

mtorresCuban filmmaker Miguel Torres (1941-2017) passed away today, August 31, in Havana, Cuba. Cubacine reports:

From 1962 he began working at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry. His work as a creative was mainly linked to the production of documentaries, among which are many titles dedicated to important figures and events in the history of the Cuban Revolution: Che (1998), Condenadme, no importa, (1983), Crónica de una infamia (1982), and Diario de una esperanza (1987). He directed, among others, the feature films Venir al mundo (1989) and Sueño tropical (1991).
