Inside the Artist’s Studio: Marielle Plaisir


The Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Art Museum presents “Inside the Artist’s Studio: Marielle Plaisir,” on September 9, 11:00am-2:00pm. The NSU Art Museum is located at One East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Event Description: Visit the studio of French-Caribbean [Guadeloupean] mixed media and performance artist, Marielle Plaisir, located in the Studio 18 artists’ complex in Pembroke Pines. Learn about her latest series of paintings on tapestries titled “Les commodities de la conversation,” which reference works by artists of the French Rococo movement and Louis XVI’s gardens of Versailles.

FREE for museum members; $10 non-members. Space is limited. RSVP required. Trips include round-trip transportation to and from NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.
