Music stars Juan Luis Guerra (Dominican Republic), Juanes (Colombia) and Colombian newcomer Sebastián Yatra are scheduled to perform at London arena, the O2’s first Latin-focused festival on July 22, 2017. Other singers classified under “Latin music,” such as Spain’s David Bisbal—one of the main headliners—will perform at the UK arena.
The O2 site reports, “The fun starts from midday with a free programme of events outside The O2, presenting some of London’s best Latin music and dance groups; featuring Mariachi Fiesta, Rene Alvarez & Cuban Combination, DJ Johnny G and Mestizo Mexican Folklore Group, who describe their traditional dance show as a visual explosion of music and colour. There will also be authentic Latin American food stalls from Comida Fest, including Ceviche Creativo, Guasacaca, Smokoloko, Brazilian Flavour, Tayrona Colombian Street food and more.”
Billboard writes, “London has a huge and growing Latin American community” [. . .] “With the increasing impact of Latin artists on the musical world and the desire for more Latin music experiences, The O2, in association with Como No, launch this new event that celebrates the river of Latin music that runs through the heart of London.”
