Howard Jordan reports on “Puerto Rico Puerto Ricans: Diaspora Summit II,” which takes place on May 12-13, 2017, at the Silberman School of Social Work in New York City. This two-day national conference is designed to have participants gain a broader understanding of how the economic and humanitarian crises in Puerto Rico have affected the stateside Puerto Rican community. Jordan interviews Dr. Edwin Meléndez, Director of the Center for Puerto Rican Studies and a professor of Urban Affairs and Planning at Hunter College.
