CULTURE AND KNOWLEDGE ECONOMIES: THE FUTURE OF CARIBBEAN DEVELOPMENT?
42nd Annual Conference of the Caribbean Studies Association
June 5 – 10, 2017
Melía Nassau Beach Resort, Cable Beach, Nassau, Bahamas
The Caribbean Studies Association invites 2017 conference participants to present written, original creative work or oral, dramatic performances as part of the conference’s Literary Salon to help amplify voices less heard in the academic mainstream. “Written, original creative work” includes but is not limited to poetry, short fiction, short creative non-fiction, or an excerpt from a longer piece. Dramatic performances include but is not limited to spoken-word poetry and dramatic readings.
The Literary Salon Committee is particularly interested in pieces that explore any aspect of the conference’s theme–“Culture and Knowledge Economies: The Future of Caribbean Development?”.

All submissions must be made electronically via the below email address. The deadline for Literary Salon proposals is April 30th 2017. Accepted presenters will be notified by May 15th 2017. Each participant will have ten minutes to share their creative work.
