D’Marsh Couture presented its Fall 2017 Collection at CoCo-Mat NYC, making a grand entrance to the runway. In “D’Marsh stunner,” Tangerine Clarke writes that the “Jamaican-born designer Glenroy Marsh, showed his flair for the dramatic” with the theme La Fantaisie Ball:
Jamaican-born designer Glenroy Marsh, showed his flair for the dramatic, opening the presentation with the Belle of the Ball being dressed by her men-in-waiting.
From then on, the runway at CoCo-Mat in Manhattan was pretty much flooded with stunning ballroom gowns and cocktail dresses. The lavish pretty two-toned creations of black and white, green and pink, red and blue, and purple and white paid homage to fairytale and fantasy.
The collection consisted of topless, asymmetric and cap-sleeve elegant designs suited to all occasions. His chicken-yellow gown with a lavish hemline, designed with plumes of feather throughout the outfit, is a signature piece consistent with the couturier’s design concept.
Notably, were the statuesque models, who showcased Marsh’s themed, La Fantaisie Ball perfectly, elegantly dressed in a pink Cinderella gown decorated with rhinestone, and a white wedding gown with beading, and finished with a plunging V-neckline.
The jaw-dropping collection was beautifully tailored with love and passion, and showed the designer’s strength for creating elegant gowns to accent the feminine soul.
“I feel more loved with this collection. This is who I am. The inspiration goes back to a fairytale party, the elegant Nicole Kidman, Cinderella, sleeping beauty,” said Marsh. “I transformed these images into my vision of a fairytale,” added Marsh, a seasoned, award-winning designer, whose fine collection will be on display at Boutique En blanc couture, 1190 Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn.
