As part of the Caribbean Conferences 20 (CC20), the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (UPR-RP) invites the academic community and the general public to the presentation and screening of “Documentales sobre Haití” [Documentaries on Haiti] with Dr. Frantz Voltaire [Centre International de Documentation et d’Information Haïtienne, Caribéenne et Afro-canadienne (CIDIHCA), Montréal, Québec, Canada.]

The activity will be held on Tuesday, February 21, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, and from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Manuel Maldonado Denis Amphitheatre (CRA 108) of the Carmen Rivera de Alvarado Building, School of Social Sciences, UPR-RP.

The documentaries to be screened are:

Puerto Príncipe Mío (2000); Commentator: Dr. Edwin Quiles [School of Architecture, UPR-Río Piedras]

Maestro Issa (2008); Commentator: Dr. Errol Montes [Department of Mathematics, UPR-Cayey]

Ayiti Toma, In the Land of the Living (2013); Commentator: Dr. Cándida González [IEC/ICS, UPR-Río Piedras]
