BMI Foundation announced they are returning for the 14th time to make the wishes of singers and songwriters alike come true; the peermusic Latin scholarship will provide musicians with $5,000, and Prince Roy will be the spokesperson of the competition for the third year in a row.
“Music is a vital part of education,” said Prince Roy. “It is an honor for me to have been chosen to be part of this important endeavor in which peermusic/BMIF gives students the opportunity to win a cash prize for showcasing their songwriting talents.”
Contestants must be enrolled in a college located in the United States or in Puerto Rico and must be between the ages of 17 and 24. Contestants also must not have had musical work recorded or distributed by anyone. And Lastly, they cannot enter the competition if they are a previous winner.
