“Remix Rememory” exhibit opens 12/3 in Queens!

Hours: WednesdaySaturday, 12 – 7pm and Sunday, 12 – 6pm

NLE Curatorial Lab (NLE Lab) is pleased to present Remix Remory, a site-responsive exhibition featuring works that assemble, reclaim and reimagine histories from Southeastern Queens and beyond.

The exhibition is comprised of commissioned and participatory works, sculpture, film, and text, that bring together people, traditions, and stories to show how memories can be recaptured and preserved through actions, objects, and reframed tales. Remix Rememory features works by Ify Chiejina, Sherese Francis, Jocelyn M. Goode, Vandana Jain, Joiri Minaya, Odathrowback, Curtis Talwst Santiago, Ambika Trasi, Kamau Ware and, working collectively: Laura Castro, Robert Craddock, Neal Desai, Rejin Leys and Lan Ding Liu.

Remix Rememory is curated by the 2016 class of NLE Lab: Zalika Azim, Shu Cao Mo, Tara Foster, Jordan Greenberg, Abbie Hebein, and Candice Strongwater.
