Freddie McGregor joins Billboard over-50 club

Kevin Jackson (Jamaica Observer) highlights Freddie McGregor, who joined an elite club of reggae artists over age 50 who have made the Top 10 of the Billboard Reggae Album Chart:

McGregor’s latest effort, the 15-song True To My Roots, debuts at number 10. His previous album, 2013’s Di Captain, peaked at number eight. The 60-year-old McGregor joins an elite list that includes Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Maxi Priest, Marcia Griffiths and Beres Hammond, who have made the Top 10 over age 50. [. . .]
