I just wanted to share a spectacular photo-reportage—“Unique underwater caves link Mexico’s Caribbean coast to the jungle – in pictures”—about the underwater cave systems that run from the Caribbean coast off Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula (“with its turquoise waters, marine life, and white sandy beaches”) to the Mexican jungle. The article focuses on the links to these caves via the open pools called “cenotes.” The series of photographs are by Klaus Thymann, such as the one above: “Small cyclid fish swim in the mangrove.”
