On Friday June 24th, Saturday June 25th 2016 and Sunday June 26th the Caribbean island of Aruba will host the second annual Aruba Summer Music Festival. During a press conference that was held recently Latin sensations Gente De Zona, Wisin, Chino y Nacho and Tito Nieves & Destra were announced as the line-up. Besides this great line-up, the event organizers still had a surprise performer to announce. On Monday night organizers confirmed the popular performer Enrique Iglesias has been added to the line-up.
Enrique Iglesias is a best-selling Latin artist from Madrid, Spain with multiple hit-songs, awards and successful concert tours. He is widely regarded as the Latin King of Pop and most recently his record climbed to platinum status in nine countries.
“We’re excited to welcome visitors to this year’s festival, while showcasing popular artists on one of the largest stages in the Caribbean,” said Otmar Oduber, Minister of Tourism, Transportation, Primary Sector and Culture. “This event continues to be an integral part of our coveted Aruban culture, attracting more than 10,000 local and international guests last year.”
The three-day festival on the beautiful island of Aruba will be hosted at The Harbor Arena, a great location in the downtown area with close proximity to the captivating Caribbean Sea. With the addition of an extra day over last year’s two-day schedule comes a Caribbean Explosion with the Queen of Bacchanal Destra and five of Aruba’s popular local bands. The venue is completely paved which is ideal for dancing.
“Aruba is honored to have Enrique Iglesias visit our island, as his performances are loved by all. We are looking forward to an exhilarating festival for all our international visitors that will be attending the Aruba Summer Music Festival from more than 20 countries,” Mrs. Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, CEO of The Aruba Tourism Authority mentioned.
The line-up for June 24, 2016 (Friday Night) will be the successful merengue/urban duo Chino & Nacho, Wisin & Nutzbeatz. For June 25, 2016 (Saturday Night) the attendees can expect an out-of-this-world performance by Enrique Iglesias, Gente de Zona and Tito Nieves.
