Alice Samson (Leicester University) and Angus Mol (Stanford University) recently created a podcast as part of their work as Caribbean archaeologists. The podcast is called “A History of the Caribbean in 100 Objects.”

Description: This is a podcast about the rich history of the cultures and societies of the Caribbean told through objects from the earliest period to modern times.

The podcast can be found in the following places:

Angus Mol is a post-doctoral researcher, specializing in the study of archaeological networks as well as the indigenous cultures and societies of the Caribbean.

Alice Samson’s research interests range from European prehistory to the archaeology of the indigenous Caribbean. Whether conducting fieldwork in indigenous settlements in the Dominican Republic (her PhD topic) or investigating rock art and early colonial encounters in Puerto Rican caves (current project), she is concerned with the materiality of human sociality and cultural dynamics at household, community, and regional scales.
