The Society for Caribbean Studies (SCS) is hosting its 2nd Caribbean Reading Group, which will be held at 12:00-1:00pm on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Westmere House (provisional venue), University of Birmingham (in Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom).
The theme of the session will be “Migration within and beyond the Caribbean.” The readings to be discussed—to spark off discussions about migration within the Caribbean context—are: Mary Chamberlain, Introduction to Globalised Identities; Gisele Pineau, Exile According to Julia; and Samuel Selvon, The Lonely Londoners. These are available to download as pdf files at the SCS site.
