The Americas Poetry Festival of New York

The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at Center for Worker Education of The City College of New York presents The Americas Poetry Festival of New York, a gathering of multilingual poets from all over the world. The event, which honors the memory of the late Colombian poet William Beltrán (1973-2011), takes place October 14-16, 2015, at the Auditorium of the Center for Worker Education.

Among the many poets from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, France, India, Iran, Ireland, Kuwait, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Spain, U.S., or several combinations of these, here are some of the representatives from the Caribbean. From Puerto Rico (or PR-US): Nancy Mercado and Etnairis Ribera; from the Dominican Republic (or DR-US): Daniel Baruc, Rossalinna Benjamín, Augusta Eunice Castillo, José Miguel de la Rosa, Isabel Espinal, Tomás Modesto Galán, Yolanda Hernández, Sophie Maríñez, Ana Luisa Martínez, Marianela Medrano, Miriam Mejía, Norma Feliz Peralta, Luisa Reynaldo Pérez, and Edgar Smith; from Cuba: Rolando Pérez.
