Negra cubana tenía que ser blog recently announced that the well-known Cuban rap group Krudas Cubensi will offer a concert on October 23, at 9:30pm, in Hannover, Germany. Abd’Allah-Alvarez Ramírez writes:
Odaymara Cuesta and Olivia Prendes are Cuban Hip Hop MC’s, independent musicians, poets, theater actresses, and educators representing women, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, and people of color. They opt for art as a weapon to fight against oppression, for justice, and for the right to celebrate life. Both were born and raised in Cuba and began their activities in the Artivism [el Artivismo] in Havana where they founded Krudas Cubensi in 1999 with Odalys Cuesta aka Wanda Kruda. Since then, they have acted, recorded, and given lectures, workshops and tours in the Caribbean as well as North, Central and South America, bringing an unstoppable flow of crudo-volutionario [Raw-volution] vision and wonderful Afro-Caribbean rebellious lyrics; Cubensi Hip Hop; Dance Hall; Cumbia; Old School; Mixtapes; and new, beautiful, and strong Beats worldwide.
