Artist Xavier Cortada will go ‘Solar’ for a cause


Miami artist Xavier Cortada unveils Solar, a participatory performance, environmental and political art project in support of Floridians for Solar Choice ( and efforts to bring more solar power to the state. Real solar panels serve as the canvas for Cortada’s work. They’ll be on view from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Bakehouse Art Complex, 561 NW 32nd St., Miami (admission is $5), and from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Sept. 12 at Mana Wynwood, 318 NW 23rd St., Miami.
