FCFA’s Kite-Flying Competition and Design Workshop ~Flying Fish~

Ok, so I know most of you will not be in Trinidad on April 4th and won’t be able to join the Felicity Charlieville Fishing Association for their kite flying competition. I just thought that, like me, it would get you inspired to build a kite and go out there to make it fly. It’s been a long long and cold winter here in Poughkeepsie.

What are your plans for Easter?

The Felicity Charlieville Fishing Association (FCFA) has proposed two community activities:

1) Kite design workshop on Monday 30th March for enthusiasts and participants;

2) Kite-flying competition on Saturday 4th April with the theme “Flying Fish” ~ Participants will be challenged to conceptualize and create kites similar to the various species of fish.

FCFA in partnership with iTHINK Global Consulting Services will also use this as an opportunity to engage families, especially young people, in our communities to ensure that the spirit of anti-bullying is embedded in day to day practices and the message that bullying is never acceptable is always prevalent and continuously reinforced through camaraderie.
