Medellin-based photographer Joel Duncan went to Barranquilla and sent The Colombia Report a gallery of photos depicting the insane amount of colors, shapes and sizes displayed during two of the carnival’s parades, the Flower Parade, called Battalla de las Flores, and the Great Tradition Parade.
The Barranquilla Carnival is one of Colombia’s most important cultural events of the year and internationally recognized as International Cultural Heritage.
