John Varvatos revealed his spring 2015 advertising campaign on Tuesday, starring Ziggy Marley and his brother Stephen. Rock photographer Danny Clinch shot the reggae musicians — who are the sons of Bob Marley — in black-and-white, as Kelsey Drain reports for The Fashion Times.

“The Marley family is legendary. Ziggy Marley and Stephen Marley are carrying on this legacy in their own authentic way,” Varvatos told WWD.
Ziggy appears in the ad wearing a Varvatos black crocodile jacquard two-button peak-lapel Jake tuxedo and a black linen Henley. Stephen is sporting a black one-button peak-lapel Austin tuxedo, a gray dress shirt and a black silk tie.
“We wanted to strip down the concept of the image to a purely beautiful, truthful portrait of two siblings. Just them. Nothing else,” Stephen Niedzwiecki — founder and chief creative officer of Yard, Varvatos’ creative agency — told WWD.
“We wanted their faces and their body language to naturally express their bond and love for one another as brothers and music collaborators,” he added.
Ziggy is a six-time Grammy winner, Emmy winner, humanitarian, singer, songwriter and producer.
“It’s always better when I’m able to do projects with my younger brother,” he told WWD.
On Feb. 5, johnvarvatos.com will debut a short film celebrating Bob Marley’s 70th birthday the following day.
“Our father would be proud to see us dressed up and coming together for this.” Stephen “Ragga” Marley, told WWD.
Last season, Ringo Starr was the face of Varvatos’ campaign.
“Before The Beatles, I was quite a good dresser in the other bands. When you’re in a band — before it got to grunge — you dressed the bit. So yeah, I’ve always had an attitude with the clothes,” Starr told WWD back in July.
Other entertainers, such as Willie Nelson, Green Day, Iggy Pop, Cheap Trick and Alice Cooper, have all worked with John Varvatos in the past.
