Art and Soul Gallery extends a call to artists for the art exhibition entitled “In Celebration of Chocolate.” The gallery will host the exhibition for the inaugural festival, the Grenada Chocolate Fest, which takes place from August 18 to 24, 2014.
Artists are invited to submit works in any media, painting, photography, sculpture, video, etc. with the requirement that the work be themed chocolate and cocoa. Sizes are not restricted. The show will be curated, to insure that the highest quality of art within the theme is presented during the festival. Work must be ready to hang.
A fee of EC$20 should accompany each entry. Should a piece not be accepted, the fee will be refunded. Works may be for sale, with the standard gallery commission of 35%.
Work should be dropped at Art and Soul Gallery on 13-15 August. No work will be accepted after that date. There will be an opening on 18 August at the Gallery, and the show will hang for one week. Artists will collect any unsold work at the end of that week.
Susan Mains, owner of Art and Soul Gallery expresses her sentiments, “I am happy to be associated with this timely festival. Exhibiting Grenada’s best art themed with its best products is a pleasure.”
Artists are encouraged to stretch the imagination, explore the visual to communicate the other senses. For more information, contact Susan Mains, Art and Soul Gallery, firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember, chocolate or cocoa is the theme.
